Defination-

x ray diffraction are electromagnetic wave just like as light wave diffraction effect can be observed one if the spacing between line ruled on the grating is the order of magnitude of the wavelength of light used in 1912. 
                        Leus suggest that the Crystal can be used for diffraction of X-Ray because the spacing between the atoms of a crystal are the order of one Angostrom. the deflecting a centre in the Crystal are not in one plan and thus The crystal is 3D expressing grating

Leu's experiment -
leaves suggest that if x ray are allotted to pass through a crystal 3D diffraction pattern is obtained the experimental arrangement is shown in the figure.

This pattern known as braggs pattern. 
Braggs experiment has established the following two important facts
1)  x ray are electromagnetic wave of short wavelength
2) the atom of the Crystal are arranged in a regular 3D

when crystal is turn angle  then the ionization chamber trans to angle 2 theta defected Bean is recorded by the ionization chamber connected to the electromittayi ki the ionization current is measure for different value for glancing angle theta the graph for ionisation current and glancing angle1 input as shown in figure
